AIDSWalk

The AIDS Walk is an event designed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS in Asheville and the surrounding areas, to educate people that HIV is a preventable disease, and to encourage HIV testing.

The event is intended to remind all of us that AIDS is still present in our community and show support for people who are already infected with HIV or diagnosed with AIDS.

The AIDS Walk is not a fundraiser for WNCAP. However, every year, the walk organizers ask participants to bring canned goods and non-perishable items for Loving Food Resources, which is a food bank that serves people living with HIV/AIDS.
